Annual Meeting Recap

by Christine Hagopian, President

Last night, the PINE Board of Directors, staff, Members, and Non-Members gathered for the Annual Meeting to recap the year, learn more about partners and services offered, and to celebrate New England’s print community.

Prior to the start of the meeting, I was pleased to acknowledge two of our member companies for their achievements in Americas Print Awards – Superior Packaging & Finishing and Kirkwood Printing Company. We were fortunate to have representatives from both companies to accept their awards. Not present, but still a winner was Keno Graphic Services. PINE’s Marketing & Events Coordinator, Jenna Tarabelsi, presented Kirkwood Printing Company with this year’s Party Pack. As the Party Pack recipient, Kirkwood has participated in the most events this year, both networking and educational. Get your company in the running for the 2025 Party Pack by participating in association events.

As part of the Annual Meeting, the Board Nominating Committee, compromised of past chairs, presented their selections for open seats. We are pleased to welcome Jennifer Nemi Johnson of Franklin Printing and Chris Armstrong of Lane Press to the PINE Board of Directors. Their commitment to the industry and dedication to the association made them excellent candidates to represent the membership. A moment of sincere thanks was given to Laurie Freitas of Standard Finishing Systems for her time on the board. Laurie was, and continues to be, a true advocate for the industry and this community.

We were pleased to have our insurance partner, Gilroy Kernan & Gilroy (GKG), present to explain how their services can help PINE members save on increasing insurance costs. GKG offers a complimentary one-hour risk assessment to all members interested in exploring options. Their information can be found at www.PINE.org/memberbenefits/insurance.

Following the meeting, PINE hosted a special holiday edition of Print on Tap. The gathering at the PINE offices was a great success. I was pleased to be able to chat with the members and non-members in attendance and hope to see everyone again soon at the next event. Have a happy and healthy holiday season!
